MWA is elected by the University of Oslo (UiO) as one of three framework agreement partners within building automation. The contract started on March 1, 2019. The university is organised as approx. 100 institutes and units, and currently have approx. 28,000 students and employ over 6,000.
The building mass consists of approximately 100 buildings in different places in Oslo. (Blindern, Gaustad, Geitmyrsveien, Ullevål Hospital, Rikshospitalet, Sentrum and Tøyen), as well as some places outside Oslo. The University of Oslo is the oldest and highest ranked university in Norway. The university consists of eight faculties that conduct research in and offer education in theology, law, medicine, humanities, mathematical – natural sciences, dentistry, social sciences and educational science.
The most substantial part of the university is today held on the Blinderen campus, a campus that dates from the 1930s. The contract encompasses the section building engineering at UiO. A department managed by Arvid Thorstensen. The duration of the agreement is initially 3 years with the possibility of one option year. Department head Rune Porsholt and Project Manager Martin Hartsang attended the start-up meeting on Thursday, March 21 – 2019. The agreement includes the supply of equipment and components, installation, service, repair and replacement within the subject building automation.
